can cons blame shift their way out of every murder, blue shade

James von Brunn attack on the Holocuast Museum and murder of security gaurd Stephen Johns has the Right spinning pretty hard to avoid blame. This new act of domestic terror comes just after the murder of Dr. George Tiller by a rightwing extremist . To blame all conservatives is unfair, but considering the the seemingly unrelenting hate speech that one can find on Am radio, TV, webzines like the National Review, and rightwing blogs; in the context of the history of conservative terrorism that has ranged over the years from Timothy McViegh to Eric Rudolph it it perfectly valid to wonder when or if we have reached some kind of tipping point. While they are the minority party with around 27% of Americans identifying themselves as Conservatives They represent a substantial portion of the poulation, in the tens of millions of adult age. Now might also be a good time to remember that Republicans were and are still  not against using the odd incident or a lone waco or two to portray any Muslim that so much as spit on the side walk as a reason to get heavily armed and do so immediately –  or we’ll all to be beheaded soon or wearing burkas as we knell on our prayer mats. The right’s mentality has taken an ironic turn. Just as those same smug and obnoxious xenophobes were asking where the modern Muslims were to speak out against extremism we ‘re at a different cross roads. Where are the moderate Republicans calling out the white supremacists, the xenophobes, the milita types that think the answer to illegal immigration is a loaded rifle, the misogynists who suddenly discovered women’s rights this past week when one late night comedian made one joke that was subjectively in was poor taste. Gee, what’s a poor Con to do. When all else fails blame shifting, fact denial, spin and speaking loudly have worked in the past, why mess with a tried and true formula;

The Republican site Free Republic does some question begging, Holocaust museum shooter, right-wing extremist or liberal nutcase?

Former Drudge alter ego Andrew Breitbart thinks James von Brunn was a “multiculturalist just like the black studies and the lesbian studies majors on college campuses.” – “Go ahead, listen. Breitbart is angry that anyone would call a neo-Nazi a “right-wing extremist.”

Limbaugh : Holocaust Shooter Has “More in Common” with Liberal Protesters. Also some videos of tea baggers protesting against Obama’s tax policy. When asked if they knew that taxes were higher during the Reagan administration, the dumbfounded looks tell you how woefully ill informed these people are. Did you know that Obama actually lower taxes for working class Americans. Thy had no clue.

Michelle Malkin in her infinite wisdom about all things political writes, Inconvenient truths: Holocaust Museum shooter hated Fox News, Murdoch; Weekly Standard possible target. That would be because Bush supported immigration reform that included a kind of earned amnesty. A policy that most Republicans in the Senate including John McCain supported until the Malkinites, much like James von Brunn adamantly opposed. Fox and the Weekly Standard also expressed sympathies with Bush’s plan. Brunn was of the old school Bircher Right that had come to believe that Bush was a secret liberal, almost solely based on immigration reform. Other Righties said similar thing after Bush had decided to let a firm from the United Arab Emigre manage American seaports. A few Conservatives like anti-Semite, generally racist, but anti-Iraq war conservative Pat Buchanan may have lost some support from the segments of the neocon right because of those two stances, I await pateintly for the long substantive article article from the Right that trys to portray Buchanan as a liberal. Malkin has not found an inconvenient truth, but painted herself into a patently screwy corner, which even with her spin credentials is ill equipped to extract herself. Brietbart, Limbaugh and Malkin could have usd the opportunity to ask their followers to use the ballot box, not 38s to achieve their political agenda, but shirking responsibility is what they do. Brunn wrote an occasional piece for Stormfront whose motto is ” White Pride World Wide”. Most of the articles are open to be read without registration. One of Malkin’s sure fire proofs that Brunn was some kind of liberal is that he was a 9-11 truther – those that belive 9-11 was an inside job perpetrated by Republicans and or the neocons, among which are a few Jews. It just so happens that there are far right extremists that believe 9-11 was done by or with the acquiescence of the Bush administration. From American Free Press ( they get linked to a lot from Stormfront,  Mossad Link Found to One of Key 9-11 Hijackers

A NEW ISRAELI CONNECTION to the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001 has recently been unveiled. Buried in a New York Times story on Feb. 19 was the eye-opening revelation that a Lebanese Muslim Arab who has been taken into custody by the Lebanon—which has accused him of being a spy for some 25 years for Israeli intelligence—just happens to be a cousin of one of the Muslims alleged to have been one of the 9-11 hijackers.

From a post at Stormfront’s forum, Re: Israel did 9/11, ALL THE PROOF IN THE WORLD!

I suspect the Mossad recruited the hijackers in phony al Qaeda cells (or maybe the hijackers were Israelis on a suicide mission posing as Arabs). Israel was caught setting up a phony al Qaeda cell within weeks of 911.

If anyone wants to argue about 911 with you, beat them over the head with the collapse of WTC7. It went down like a controlled demolition.

Another group of Israelis were caught with truck bombs around the George Washington Bridge.

A third group of Jews were caught with a van that had a mural painted on the side literally depicting the 9/11 attacks.

Although Ali al-Jarrah was—publicly—an outspoken proponent of the Palestinian cause, it now turns out that he was actually working as a paid asset of the Mossad for more than two decades, betraying his own nation and conducting spying operations against Palestinian groups and the pro-Palestinian party Hezbollah.

This is the kind of stuff that Brunn believed in. In fits in with the far right’s history of anti-Semitism and penchant for conpiracies in which Jews are manipulating the world. For those that do not know, Mossad is Israeli intelligence service that also does special-ops , a kind of cross between our CIA and military special forces. If cons like Limbaugh, Malkin, O’Reilly and others of that ilk are really concerned about their movement being associated with violent militants then they need to practice a little less hate speech and start trying to win the war of ideas. They need to actively police and purge the fanatics that seem drawn to modern conservatism (Michele Bachmann: I Want People “Armed And Dangerous” Over Obama Tax Plan). It aslo wouldn’t hurt the Right to drop the hypocrisy about how dangerous the world’s one billion Muslims are based on what a few do, then not expect to have the same standard applied to this month’s “lone” rightwing wacko held up as representative of conservatism.
