Lou Dobbs Uses Graph From Racist Front Group

On Lou Dobbs Tonight, National Council of La Raza’s Janet Murguia accused host Lou Dobbs of using “hate groups to make your case on immigration,” noting that Dobbs had aired a graphic from the Council of Conservative Citizens, a group linked to white supremacists. Dobbs responded: “You got anything a little more recent?” He also asked, “How long was that on the air?” When Murguia responded, “It doesn’t matter how long,” Dobbs replied, “Of course it does.” Dobbs also labeled the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center as “absolute advocate groups for open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens” and said of the ADL, “They are a joke.”

Some background history on the Council of Conservative Citizens. Dobbs claims to be a populist. Should he decide to listen to something then his own echo he’ll find that his kind of populism is perverse. When Dobbs talks about about the mass exportation of manufacturing jobs to China he does strike a cord with many working class Americans. Unfortunately he also wraps up a good serving of xenophobia with his concerns. It is also ironic if not out right hypocritical that Dobbs would lean on the Council of Conservative Citizens since they consistently support political candidates that enact the awful brand of free trade policies that result in the loss of jobs that Dobbs claims to care about.

One of my pet theories about relationships is that the longer people are together the more they get on each other’s nerves. The one’s that survive this stage are usually the people that have a good sense of humor and a hobby, Couples irritate each other more as they age, but that means they’re close

In all age groups, individuals reported viewing their spouse as the most negative compared with children and friends. The negative view of spouses tended to increase over time.

“We were surprised because in the gerontological research, it suggests that as people age they get better at regulating their emotions and experience less negative relationships,” Birditt told LiveScience. “But we found that it depends on which relationship you’re looking at.”
